Why we started AMATETA Hosting
For years, Namibian businesses had two options: pay an overseas host in foreign currency and wait days for support replies in another timezone, or settle for limited local options. We believed our market deserved better — world-class hosting infrastructure combined with genuinely local service.
AMATETA Technology & Graphics CC has served Namibian clients with technology and design services from our office at Bismark Street 36, Windhoek West. What actually sits behind your website
Most hosts never tell you what you are actually buying. Here is ours, plainly.
Your website lives on SSD storage behind cPanel, the same control panel used by hosting companies worldwide — so nothing you learn here is wasted if you ever move on, and any developer you hire already knows it. Mail, databases, FTP and one-click WordPress installs all run through that one login.
Domains are registered through established international registrars, which is why we can offer .com, .africa, .com.na and hundreds of other extensions rather than a short local list. Your domain is registered in your name, not ours — you can transfer it away at any time, and we will hand over the authorisation code without an argument.
SSL certificates come from public certificate authorities such as Sectigo and SSL.com, which is why the padlock is trusted by Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox out of the box. Card payments are processed by Adumo Online — we never see or store your card number.
DNS runs on our own nameservers, ns1.amatetahost.com and ns2.amatetahost.com, so records you change in your client area take effect without a third party in the middle.
How support actually works
Tickets first, always
Open a ticket from your client area and everything — the history, the server logs, the account details — is already in front of whoever answers. No repeating yourself.
Windhoek hours, Windhoek time
Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 Central Africa Time. Critical faults — a site or mail server completely down — are monitored and answered around the clock.
Written commitments
Response targets and uptime credits are not marketing lines; they are in our Service Level Agreement, with the exclusions spelled out too.
